ARTICLE 38
to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section 5(a) of Article
38 of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1957 Ed., as amended),
Title, "Fines and Forfeitures", to delete reference to the justices
of the peace in Baltimore City and to add reference to said
Municipal Court;
ARTICLE 64A
to repeal Sections 5 and 6 of Article 64A of the Annotated Code of
Maryland (1957 Ed.), Title, "Merit System", relating generally
to the employees, including probation officer, of the Traffic Court
of Baltimore City;
ARTICLE 88A
TO REPEAL AND RE-ENACT, WITH AMENDMENTS, SEC-
TION 59 OF ARTICLE 88A OF THE ANNOTATED CODE OF
MARYLAND (1957 EDITION), TITLE "STATE DEPART-
MENT OF PUBLIC WELFARE", SUB-TITLE "AID TO DE-
PENDENT CHILDREN", DELETING THE PROVISION THAT
THE OFFENSE OF UNLAWFULLY OBTAINING ASSIST-
ANCE SHALL BE PUNISHABLE AS FALSE PRETENSES
AND PROVIDING PUNISHMENTS FOR SAID OFFENSE
WHEN THE AMOUNT OF ASSISTANCE UNLAWFULLY OB-
TAINED IS LESS THAN FIVE HUNDRED DOLLARS OR
WHERE IT IS FIVE HUNDRED DOLLARS OR MORE.
ARTICLE 95A
to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section 17(f), Article
95A of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1957 Ed., as amended),
title, "Unemployment Insurance Law", subtitle, "Penalties", delet-
ing a provision for concurrent jurisdiction in the police justices
and Criminal Court of Baltimore;
GENERALLY
to provide for the availability for the Traffic Division of said
Municipal Court of funds appropriated for the Traffic Court of
Baltimore; to provide for separability of the provisions of this
Act, to provide for the repeal of inconsistent laws, to provide that
this Act shall be an emergency measure, and relating generally
to the organization and operation of said Municipal Court, amend-
ing or repealing provisions inconsistent with this Apt, and adding
provisions relating to said Municipal Court in existing law.
Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Twenty-Three new Sections be and they are hereby added to
Article 26 of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1957 Ed.), title
"Courts", to be under a new sub-title known as "Municipal Court of
Baltimore City", said Sections to be known as Sections 107 through
129, to follow immediately after Section 106, and to read as follows:
MUNICIPAL COURT OF BALTIMORE CITY
107. Number of Judges. The Municipal Court of Baltimore City
