CHAPTER 595
(House Bill 113)
AN ACT to add new Section 100 (g) to Article 35 of the Annotated
Code of Maryland (1960 Supplement), title "Evidence", sub-title
"Chemical Tests for Intoxication", to follow; immediately after
Section 100 (f) thereof, to require an arresting police officer to
advise a motorist charged with driving while under the influence
of liquor that he may submit to a chemical analysis.
Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That new Section 100 (g) be and it is hereby added to Article 35 of the
Annotated Code of Maryland (1960 Supplement) title "Evidence",
sub-title "Chemical Tests for Intoxication", to follow immediately
after Section 100 (f) thereof, and to read as follows:
100.
(g) It shall be the duty of any arresting officer who charges a
person with the operation of a motor vehicle while under the influ-
ence of intoxicating liquor, to advise the person so charged that he
may, BUT NEED NOT, submit to a chemical analysis as provided
for in this section.
Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
June 1, 1961.

AN ACT to add a new Section 22 (e) to Chapter 780 of the Acts of
the General Assembly of 1959, to follow immediately after Section
22 (d) thereof, the Act of 1959 having enacted the sub-title "Park
and Planning Commission", to be added to the Montgomery County
Code—1955, being Article 16 of the Code of Public Local Laws of
Maryland and the Code of Public Local Laws of Prince George's
County (1953 Edition, being Article 17 of the Code of Public
Local Laws of Maryland), said Section 22 (e) being in the sub-
heading "Metropolitan District", providing for an extension of the
