(4)  Criers in Baltimore and Frederick counties shall each receive
such compensation as the court of said counties shall determine.

(5)  Criers in Calvert County shall each receive one hundred and
twenty-five dollars ($125.00) per year.

(6)   Criers in St. Mary's County shall each receive ten dollars
($10.00) per day.

(7)   Criers in Carroll, Cecil, Montgomery, Talbot and Wicomico
counties shall each receive such compensation as the county commis-
sioners of said counties shall determine.

(8)  Criers in Garrett and Somerset counties shall each receive such
compensation as the county commissioners shall prescribe, but not
exceeding five dollars ($5.00) per day.

(9)  Criers in Queen Anne's County shall each receive ten dollars
($10.00) per day.

(10)   Criers in Dorchester, Kent, Worcester, Queen Anne's and
Caroline counties shall receive seven dollars and fifty cents ($7.50)
per day. In Worcester County, the crier also shall receive such amount
as set from time to time in the discretion of the County Commis-
sioners for traveling expenses.

(11)  The several bailiffs and criers shall perform such duties as
may be prescribed by the several laws of the State and by the local
laws of their respective counties.

Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That Section 52 of Article
24 of the Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland (1930 Edition),
title "Worcester County", sub-title "Criers and Bailiffs", as said
section was last amended by Chapter 77 of the Acts of 1947, be and
it is hereby repealed.

Sec. 3. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
June 1, 1961.

(Senate Bill 159)

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section 25(a) of
Article 51 of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1960 Supplement),
title "Juries", sub-title "Classification and Selection of Jurors";
and to add a new Section 25 (i) to said article and sub-title (1957
Edition and 1960 Supplement), to follow immediately after Section
25 (h) thereof, recodifying the law concerning the payment of
jurors in Worcester County and providing for the payment of
traveling expenses incurred by them during their jury duty.
