missioners of Worcester County and edited by Carl N. Everstine, is
hereby legalized. The Code shall contain all public local laws relating
to Worcester County following the 1961 Regular Session of the Gen-
eral Assembly of Maryland, and it shall contain the Charters of the
several municipal corporations within Worcester County as in effect
on April 1, 1961. The Code shall be deemed and taken in all the Courts
of the State and by all Justices of the Peace and Trial Magistrates
of the State and by all other public officials of the State and of its
several political subdivisions, to be evidence of the public local laws
of Worcester County in existence at the time of compilation.
Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That the Board of County
Commissioners of Worcester County is authorized and directed to
make an appropriation to provide for the publication of this Code,
and the Board is further authorized to provide for the sale and
distribution of the Code.
Sec. 3. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
June 1, 1961.

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section 11 of Ar-
ticle 36 of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1957 Edition), title
"Fees of Officers", sub-title "Bailiffs and Criers", providing for
increases in the compensation of bailiffs and of court criers in
Worcester County; and to repeal Section 52 of Article 24 of the
Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland (1930 Edition), title
"Worcester County", sub-title "Criers and Bailiffs", as said sec-
tion was last amended by Chapter 77 of the Acts of 1947, repealing
the local law of Worcester County which most recently provided
for the compensation of criers and bailiffs of the Circuit Court of
Worcester County;
Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Section 11 of Article 36 of the Annotated Code of Maryland
(1957 Edition), title "Fees of Officers", sub-title "Bailiffs and
Criers", be and it is hereby repealed and re-enacted, with amend-
ments, to read as follows:
11. Compensation.
(a) Bailiffs. Every bailiff attending the circuit courts in the
counties in this State shall be entitled to the compensation herein-
after prescribed for each day he shall attend said court, except as
otherwise herein provided.
