trict, thence in a southeasterly, and southerly direction with the
existing boundary of the Washington Suburban Sanitary District
and the rural water area to the point of beginning.
Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That the jurisdiction of the
Washington Suburban Sanitary Commission is hereby extended to
the above-described Rural Water Area and said area shall be subject
to all the rules and regulations of the Commission and all provisions
of law relating to the Washington Suburban Sanitary District which
are applicable to the water system of the Commission including taxes
and other sums or charges levied by said Commission in said Sanitary
District; provided, however, that the Commission shall not levy any
ad valorem or front foot benefit tax assessment or other charge within
the aforementioned Rural Water Area until such time as the con-
struction of a water system shall be actually commenced, or an exist-
ing water system shall be extended to such area and available to the
property within such area, and when from time to time such a system
is commenced or extended, then the area or areas affected by such
commencement or extension shall be excluded from this provision.
Sec. 3. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
June 1, 1961.

(House Bill 434)
AN ACT to add an additional area in Montgomery County to the
Washington Suburban Sanitary District, said additional area lying
generally within the Gaithersburg, Laytonsville and Olney Election
Districts of Montgomery County and being an extension of the
Sanitary District in the Emory Grove—Mt. Zion area.
Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That the area herein described is hereby added to the Washington
Suburban Sanitary District created by Chapter 122 of the Acts of
the General Assembly of 1918:
All that area in the Gaithersburg, Laytonsville and Olney Election
Districts of Montgomery County, Maryland, lying within the follow-
ing described boundaries:
Beginning for the same at a point on the existing boundary of
the Washington Suburban Sanitary District, said point being west
of and 1,000 feet distant from the west line of the Gaithersburg-
Laytonsville Road and 500 feet northeast of the east line of the road
leading from Redland to Prathertown and running thence in a
northerly direction, west of, parallel to and 1,000 feet distant from
the west line of the Gaithersburg-Laytonsville Road, Route 124, ap-
proximately 9,500 feet to the south right of way line of the Potomac
Electric Power Company's transmission line, thence in an easterly
direction with the said south right of way line of the transmission
line to a point, 500 feet northeast of and at right angles to the north-
