(Senate Bill 54)

AN ACT to repeal Section 408 of Article 10 of the Code of Public
Local Laws of Maryland (1930 Edition), title "Dorchester
County", sub-title "Orphans' Court", as said section was last
amended by Chapter 671 of the Acts of 1943, repealing an obsolete
local law of Dorchester County which covered the compensation
of judges of the Orphans' Court of Dorchester County.

Whereas, In Section 408 of the local laws of Dorchester County,
as last amended by Chapter 671 of the Acts of 1943, the compensa-
tion of judges of the Orphans' Court is specified; and

Whereas, This subject now is covered by Section 255 of Article
93 in the 1957 Edition of the Annotated Code; and

Whereas, It is desirable to repeal the unnecessary section in the
local law; now, therefore,

Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Section 408 of Article 10 of the Code of Public Local Laws
of Maryland (1930 Edition), title "Dorchester County", sub-title
"Orphans' Court", as said section was last amended by Chapter 671
of the Acts of 1943, be and it is hereby repealed, as follows:

[408. The Judges of the Orphans' Court of Dorchester County
shall each receive the sum of eight ($8.00) dollars for every day's
attendance upon the sessions of said court, but not exceeding $500
per year, to be paid by the County Commissioners of said Dorchester
County in quarterly payments, upon the certificate of the register of
wills for said county.]

Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
on June 1, 1961.

AN ACT to repeal Section 435 of Article 10 of the Code of Public
Local Laws of Maryland (1930 Edition), title "Dorchester
County", sub-title "Railroads", repealing an obsolete local law of
Dorchester County, concerning the maintenance of a flagman at
the Washington Street crossing or station near Cambridge.

Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
