or a yield sign, OR A YIELD RIGHT OF WAY SIGN when such signs
are erected as provided in this Article.

Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
June 1, 1961.

CHAPTER 495
(House Bill 308)

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section 28 (c) of
Article 2B of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1960 Supplement),
title "Alcoholic Beverages", sub-title "Local Licenses and License
Provisions", relating to the alcoholic content of beverages sold by
Alcoholic Beverage Licensees in the First Election District of Anne
Arundel County, and providing for a referendum thereon.

Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Section 28(c) of Article 2B of the Annotated Code of Maryland
(1960 Supplement), title "Alcoholic Beverages", sub-title "Local
Licenses and License Provisions", be and it is hereby repealed and
re-enacted, with amendments, to read as follows:

28 (c). No license for the sale of alcoholic beverages containing more
than fourteen per centum of alcohol by volume shall be issued in the
[first,] seventh [,] and eighth election districts of said county.

Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That before this Act shall be-
come effective, it shall first be submitted to the legally qualified voters
of the first election district of Anne Arundel County at the General
Election to be held in November, 1962. There shall be printed on
the ballots or ballot labels, to be used at the election, the title of
this Act and underneath the title, on separate lines, a square or box
to the right of and opposite the words "For the Sale", and a corre-
sponding square or box to the right of and opposite the words
"Against the Sale", so that the voters of the first election district of
the county are able to designate his or her decision for or against
this Act. If a majority of the votes cast in the election in the first
election district of the county are "For the Sale", then this Act is
effective, but if a majority of the votes cast in the first election dis-
trict of the county are "Against The Sale", then this Act is null and
void.

Sec. 3. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
June 1, 1961.
