AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Sections 405,
409(c), 411, 412(a), 412(f), 412(g), 412(h), 413, and 415 AND
417 (A) of the Code of Public Local Laws of Harford County
(1957 Edition, being Article 13 of the Code of Public Local Laws
of Maryland), title "Harford County", sub-title "Metropolitan
Commission"; and to add new Sections 408(d), and 412(i) AND
417 (D) to said Article and sub-title, to follow respectively after
Sections 408 (c), and 412(h) AND 417 (C) thereof, generally
amending the laws concerning the Metropolitan Commission of
Harford County.
Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Sections 405, 409(c), 411, 412(a), 412(f), 412)(g), 412(h), 413
and 415 AND 417 (A) of the Code of Public Local Laws of Harford
County (1957 Edition, being Article 13 of the Code of Public Local
Laws of Maryland), title "Harford County", sub-title "Metropolitan
Commission", be and they are hereby repealed and re-enacted, with
amendments; and that new Sections 408(d), and 412(i) AND 417
(D) be and they are hereby added to said Article and sub-title, to
follow respectively after Sections 408 (c), and 412(h) AND 417(C).

Section 405.
(a) For the purpose of carrying out the provisions of this sub-
title, the sanitary districts created hereafter shall be under the juris-
diction of a Commission of three persons, all of whom shall be
appointed by the Board of Commissioners of Harford County, and
all of whom shall reside in Harford County, be resident taxpayers
of said County and qualified voters thereof. BUT NOT MORE THAN
TWO SHALL RESIDE IN ONE SANITARY DISTRICT. [As soon
as two or more sanitary districts have been established, no member
may thereafter be appointed who resides in the same sanitary dis-
trict as any three members of the Board so that no single sanitary
district shall have more than one member of the Commission. The
members of the THE MEMBERS OF THE Commission shall serve
without salary.] The members of the Commission shall receive
a per diem allowance of twenty five dollars ($25.00) for attendance
at its meetings, provided that such payment to any member shall not
exceed the sum of six hundred dollars ($600.00) annually. The term
of each of the three members shall be six years or until their succes-
sors are appointed and have qualified, except that the first Commis-
