right of and opposite with the words "For School Bond Issue" and a
corresponding square or box to the right of and opposite the words
"Against School Bond Issue" so that the voters shall be able to desig-
nate by a cross-mark in the proper square or box indicated by hand
or voting machine, his or her decision for or against said school bond
issue. If a majority of the votes cast in said area in said election shall
be "For School Bond Issue" then said bond shall be issued in accord-
ance with the provisions of this Act, but if a majority of votes cast
shall be "Against School Bond Issue", then this Act shall be of no
effect.
Sec. 7. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
June 1, 1961.

(Senate Bill 452)
AN ACT to add new Section 68A to Article 24 of the Code of Public
Local Laws of Maryland (1930 Edition), title "Worcester Coun-
ty", sub-title "County Commissioners", to follow immediately after
Section 68 thereof, authorizing the county commissioners of Wor-
cester County to request the Army Corps of Engineers to study
certain problems of beach erosion in said county and relating gen-
erally to the power of the commissioners with respect to any such
project and to the payment of the costs thereof.
Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That new Section 68A be and it is hereby added to the Code of Public
Local Laws of Maryland (1930 Edition), title "Worcester County",
sub-title "County Commissioners", to follow immediately after Sec-
tion 68 thereof, and to read as follows:
68 A.
The county commissioners of Worcester County may request the
Army Corps of Engineers of the United States government to study
problems of beach erosion along that portion of Worcester County
which fronts upon the Atlantic Ocean between the Virginia and the
Delaware state lines. The commissioners also may enter into any co-
operative project or projects for beach erosion control in that area;
and may levy for and appropriate, from the general funds of the
county, monies necessary to pay the county's share of any such beach
erosion control project or projects. This authorization is made with
reference to the beach erosion control program under Public Law
727, 1946, of the United States; and the county commissioners may
do such things as are necessary and proper for a cooperating agency,
under that program.
