by the clerk of said county and] from the poll-books of the several
election districts of said county that shall be returned and filed in
the clerk's office of said court after any general election last held, a
panel that shall consist of the names of two hundred persons in said
county fairly and impartially selected, of the age aforesaid, by the
judges, out of the election districts of said county in proportion to
the inhabitants or residents of each district, with special reference
to the intelligence, sobriety and integrity of such person and with-
out the least reference to political opinion; and of the names of such
persons so selected, a list shall be made and a certificate appended
thereto by said judges, that the said list of names has been duly
selected in conformity with and according to the spirit of this act;
and the said list and certificate shall be filed with the clerk of said
court and by them preserved as other proceedings of the court are
kept.
Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
June 1, 1961.

CHAPTER 55
(Senate Bill 122)
AN ACT to repeal Sections 92 to 100, inclusive, of Article 24 of the
Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland (1930 Edition), title
"Worcester County", sub-title "Justices of the Peace and Con-
stables", Section 99 thereof having been amended by Chapter 350
of the Acts of 1931, repealing unnecessary and obsolete local laws
of Worcester County concerning justices of the peace and con-
stables.
Whereas, In Sections 92 to 100, inclusive, of the 1930 Edition of
the Local Laws of Worcester County, as amended, there are provisions
concerning the appointment, powers and duties of justices of the
peace and of constables in Worcester County; and
Whereas, These provisions as to justices of the peace are entirely
superseded and outmoded by the Trial Magistrates Act, enacted in
1939 and codified in Article 52 of the Annotated Code; and
Whereas, The local laws of Worcester County concerning con-
stables are superseded by the provisions of Sections 17 and 18 of
Article 36 in the 1957 Edition of the Annotated Code; and
Whereas, It is desirable that the local laws concerning justices of
the peace and constables be repealed as obsolete; now, therefore
