Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That Section 12 (a) (33) of
Article 36 of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1960 Supplement),
title "Fees of Officers", sub-title "Clerks of Court", be and it is
hereby repealed and re-enacted, with amendments, to read as follows:

12.

(a) (33). For receiving, collecting and paying over all public
money—5% except the clerk of the Circuit Court for Montgomery
County, who shall receive 3% commission; provided that the clerk
of the court for Anne Arundel County shall be entitled to receive 3%
of the amount collected from the tax applicable to instruments re-
corded with the said clerk pursuant to Section 277 (m) of Article 81
of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1957 Edition), but shall be en-
titled to receive 5% for receiving, collecting and paying over all other
public moneys. The clerk of the court for Harford County shall be
entitled to receive 3% of the amount collected from the tax applicable
to instruments recorded with the said clerk pursuant to Section
277(n) of Article 81 of this Code (1957 Edition, as amended from
time to time), but shall be entitled to receive 5% for receiving, col-
lecting and paying over all other public moneys.

Sec. 3. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
June 1, 1961.

CHAPTER 401
(Senate Bill 395)

AN ACT to declare the sanction and consent of the General Assembly
of Maryland to sundry gifts, bequests and devises contained in the
Last Wills and Testaments of certain persons, deceased, and also to
certain gifts, grants, sales, leases and deeds made by various per-
sons to and for the use and benefit of sundry ministerial persons,
religious corporations, vestries, educational and charitable institu-
tions, churches, denominations or sects hereinafter named.

Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That the sanction and consent of the said General Assembly of Mary-
land be and the same is hereby declared, given and granted to the
following gifts, bequests, devises, grants, sales, leases, conveyances
and deeds, to and from certain persons and bodies corporate to and for
the use of certain ministerial persons, religious and educational cor-
porations, orders, denominations and sects and to certain charitable
institutions hereinafter named and hereinafter set forth.

1. To a conveyance to Associated Jewish Charities of Baltimore
of an undivided 1/9 interest in the remainder of a trust estate created
by Deed dated July 1, 1940, from Mary Schlutter, Charles Schlutter
