CHAPTER 364

(Senate Bill 139)

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section 272 of
Article 24 of the Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland (1930
Edition), title "Worcester County", sub-title "Revenue and Taxes",
providing for and clarifying the provisions as to the office and for
the office hours of the Treasurer of Worcester County.

Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Section 272 of Article 24 of the Code of Public Local Laws of
Maryland (1930 Edition), title "Worcester County", sub-title "Rev-
enue and Taxes", be and it is hereby repealed and re-enacted, with
amendments, to read as follows:

272. The County Commissioners shall [appoint] provide and
furnish the Treasurer an office in [the Court House] Snow Hill for
the transaction of his official business, [which office shall be the
County Commissioners' office,] and the said office shall be open for
that purpose [each day of the year, Sunday and legal holidays
excepted, from 9 o'clock A. M. to 4 P. M.] on every normal business
day between the hours of 9:00 A. M. and 5:00 P. M.

Sec. 2. And be it further enacted. That this Act shall take effect
June 1, 1961.

Approved April 24, 1961.

CHAPTER 365

(Senate Bill 160)

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section 710 of
Article 66C of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1957 Edition),
title "Natural Resources", sub-title "Oysters and Clams", to pre-
vent the leasing of any submerged areas in Dorchester County for
oyster cultivation after a certain date, notwithstanding other laws
to the contrary, and preserving the validity of existing leases. AND
PROVIDING FOR THE RENEWAL, ASSIGNMENT, TRANS-
FER AND DISPOSITION OF SUCH LEASES UNDER CER-
TAIN CONDITIONS.

Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Section 710 of Article 66C of the Annotated Code of Maryland
(1957 Edition), title "Natural Resources", sub-title "Oysters and
Clams", be and it is hereby repealed and re-enacted, with amend-
ments, and to read as follows:
