AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section 215 (d)
and 222 (7) of Article 77 of the Annotated Code of Maryland
(1957 Edition), title "Public Education", sub-title "Chapter 20.
Source and Distribution of Income"; to repeal and re-enact, with
amendments, Section 106 (b) and 106 (f) of said Article (1960
Supplement), sub-title "Chapter 8. Teachers' Certificates, Salaries
and Pensions"; to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, sec-
tions 215 (c) and 222 (5) of said Article (1957 Edition), sub-
title "Chapter 20. Source and Distribution of Income"; and to
add a new Section 222A to said Article 77 to follow immediately
after Section 222 thereof, and to be under the sub-title "Chapter
20. Source and Distribution of Income", TO REPEAL SECTION
159 (D) OF SAID ARTICLE AND SUB-TITLE (1960 SUPPLE-
MENT), AND TO ENACT A NEW SECTION 159 (D) IN LIEU
THEREOF, TO STAND IN THE PLACE OF THE SECTION SO
REPEALED, AND TO REPEAL AND RE-ENACT WITH
AMENDMENTS SECTION 221 OF THE SAID ARTICLE (1960
SUPPLEMENT), SUB-TITLE "CHAPTER 20. SOURCE AND
DISTRIBUTION OF INCOME, amending the public school laws of
this State with particular respect to the county taxable bases in
computing the equalization formula and the incentive fund for
school construction, increasing certain minimum public school
teachers' and employees' salaries, RELATING TO THE ANNUAL
SALARIES OF CERTAIN SUPERVISING TEACHERS OR
SUPERVISORS OF PUPIL PERSONNEL, INCREASING THE
PAYMENTS PER PUPIL IN THE STATE AID PROGRAM FOR
PUBLIC SCHOOLS, increasing the local tax contribution re-
quired for participation in the equalization fund, amending the
amount per pupil under the incentive fund, providing an additional
allowance under the incentive fund for an increased number of
pupils enrolled, and generally amending the laws relating to the
financing of and the appropriations for the public school system in
this State.
Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Sections 215 (d) and 222 (7) of Article 77 of the Annotated
Code of Maryland (1957 Edition), title "Public Education"* sub-
title "Chapter 20. Source and Distribution of Income", be and they
are repealed and re-enacted, with amendments, to read as follows:
