CHAPTER 43
(Senate Bill 100)
AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section 175 of
Article 93 of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1957 Edition),
title "Testamentary Law", sub-title "Guardian and Ward", cor-
recting a typographical error therein by changing the word "Se-
curities" to read "Sureties" in connection with the giving of bonds
by guardians.
Whereas, In one section of the Testamentary Laws of this State
which concerns the giving of a bond by guardian, there is a refer-
ence to giving bond with "securities"; and
Whereas, It seems very probable that this term was meant to read
giving bond with "sureties"; and
Whereas, It is desirable to make this correction in the Testa-
mentary Laws,
Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Section 175 of Article 93 of the Annotated Code of Maryland
(1957 Edition), title "Testamentary Law", sub-title "Guardian and
Ward", be and it is hereby repealed and re-enacted, with amend-
ments, to read as follows:
175. Every natural guardian, or guardian appointed by last will
and testament of the estate or property of infants shall give bond,
with [securities] sureties to be approved by the Orphans' Court, as
directed in Section 176 of this Article.
