of voters who have voted, as shown by the list of voters and the num-
ber who have voted on each machine, as shown by the public counters,
and also the number registered on the protective counter or device
on each machine immediately prior to the opening of the polls and
immediately after the closing thereof and sealing of the machine.
The number or other designation of each machine used shall also be
entered thereon, fin case of primary elections, IN COUNTIES
OTHER THAN WICOMICO COUNTY triplicate return sheets shall
be prepared for each party.] In the case of primary elections in
Wicomico County, separate sets of return sheets in triplicate may
be prepared for each party, or the tabulations for each party may
be entered on one set of return sheets, in triplicate, said choice of
returns to be in the discretion of the Board of Supervisors of Elec-
tions.
The registering counters of the voting machines shall remain
exposed to view until the said returns and all other reports have been
fully completed. During such time, any candidate, or duly accredited
watchers, who may desire to be present, shall be admitted to the poll-
ing place.

Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
June 1, 1961.

CHAPTER 327

(Senate Bill 289)

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section 30 (a) of
Article 33 of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1957 Edition), title
"Elections", sub-title "Registration by Judges Acting as Boards of
Registry", authorizing the Board of Supervisors of Elections of
Wicomico County to elect to use the periods for registration days
which are provided in Section 38 (a) of said Article 33.

Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Section 30 (a) of Article 33 of the Annotated Code of Maryland
(1957 Edition), title "Elections", sub-title "Registration by Judges
Acting as Boards of Registry", be and it is hereby repealed and re-
enacted, with amendments, to read as follows:

30.

(a) In addition to the days of registration in the several election
precincts and districts as provided by this sub-title, the supervisors
of elections of any county are hereby authorized to provide for the
registration of voters and change of party affiliation and removals
as provided by Sections 28 and 38 (c) of this article, at their respec-
tive offices at their respective county seats or other places, in such
county on such additional days and during such hours as they shall
determine, but not later than the time prescribed in Section 29
herein[.]; however, the supervisors of elections of Wicomico County
