[146. The powers and duties of the said County Commissioners
shall be such as are now and may hereafter be prescribed by law.]

[160. Any wilful disregard, breach, evasion, violation or failure
to discharge any of the duties herein imposed upon any member of
the Board of County Commissioners, or Board of Estimates, or on
the part of the members or member of any other board, or by or
upon the part of any official shall be a misdemeanor, and upon
indictment for and conviction of such offense in the Circuit Court
for Dorchester County, he shall be fined not more than one thousand
dollars or imprisoned in the county jail for not more than one year,
or be both fined and imprisoned in the discretion of the court.]

Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
on June 1, 1961.

CHAPTER 319
(Senate Bill 39)

AN ACT to repeal Sections 190, 191, 195 and 197 of Article 10 of the
Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland (1930 Edition), title
"Dorchester County", sub-title "County Commissioners and Treas-
urer"; and to repeal and re-enact with amendments Sections 193,
196 and 198 of said Article and sub-title, Section 196 thereof hav-
ing been amended by Chapter 346 of the Acts of 1935 and Section
198 thereof having been amended by Chapter 411 of the Acts of
1957, amending generally the laws concerning the Treasurer and
collector of taxes in Dorchester County in order to remove obsolete
and incorrect material therefrom, relating to the examination of
the treasurer's and collector's accounts and books, changing the
date on which the County Treasurer elected in Dorchester County
shall qualify, and relating generally to the County Treasurer and
his collection of taxes in Dorchester County.

Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland?
That Sections 190, 191, 195 and 197 of Article 10 of the Code of
Public Local Laws of Maryland (1930 Edition), title "Dorchester
County", sub-title "County Commissioners and Treasurer", be and
they are hereby repealed; and that Sections 193, 196 and 198 of
said Article and sub-title, Section 196 thereof having been amended
by Chapter 346 of the Acts of 1935 and Section 198 thereof having
been amended by Chapter 411 of the Acts of 1957, be and they are
hereby repealed and re-enacted with amendments, all to read as
follows:
