J. MILLARD TAWES, GOVERNOR                            191

Edition, being Article 22 of the Code of Public Local Laws of
Maryland), title "Washington County", sub-title "County Com-
missioners", as enacted by Chapter 722 of the Laws of Maryland
of 1959, authorizing the Board of County Commissioners of Wash-
ington County to prepare and adopt a Housing Code, without
the assistance of the Washington County Delegation.

Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Section 191A of the Code of Public Local Laws of Washington
County (1957 Edition, being Article 22 of the Code of Public Local
Laws of Maryland) title "Washington County", sub-title "County
Commissioners", as enacted by Chapter 722 of the Laws of Mary-
land of 1959, be and it is hereby repealed and re-enacted, with amend-
ments, to read as follows:

191A.

The Board of County Commissioners [and the members of the
Washington County Delegation to the General Assembly shall] are
hereby authorized to
prepare [before June 1, 1961,] and adopt a
Housing Code which Code shall stipulate minimum housing standards
in order to make dwellings fit for human habitation. [Within thirty
days thereafter, the Board of County Commissioners shall by reso-
lution RESOLUTION adopt said Housing Code.] The Code shall be
administered by the County Board of Health, and they shall have the
power to employ and train such personnel who may be necessary to
enforce the provisions of the Housing Code. Provided, however, that
this section shall not apply to any incorporated town in Washington
County.

Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
June 1, 1961.

(House Bill 311)

AN ACT to add new Section 150 to Article 5 of the Code of Public
Local Laws of Maryland (1930 Edition), title "Calvert County",
to follow immediately after Section 149 thereof and to be under
the new sub-title "Fire Companies", to authorize certain annual
payments to be made to fire companies and, rescue squads THE
COUNTY FAIR BOARD AND THE CALVERT COUNTY HOS-
PITAL in Calvert County.

Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That new Section 150 be and it is hereby added to Article 5 of the
Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland (1930 Edition), title "Calvert
County", to follow immediately after Section 149 thereof, and to be
under the new sub-title "Fire Companies", and to read as follows:

150. The County Commissioners of Calvert County are hereby
authorized and directed to appropriate annually a sum
