1959, Ch. 732—Seventh and Eighth Districts, Anne Arundel County

I, Thomas B. Finan, Secretary of State of the State of
Maryland, pursuant to the direction contained in Section 172 of
Article 33 of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1957 Edition),
do hereby certify, that at the General Election held in the State of
Maryland on November 8, 1960, an Act known as Chapter 732 of the
Acts of 1959 was submitted to the voters of the Seventh and Eighth
Districts of Anne Arundel County under the provisions of Chapter 732
of the Acts of 1959, said Act being as follows:
"An Act to add new Sections 332Q to 332T of the Code of Public
Local Laws of Anne Arundel County (1947 Edition), being
Article 2 of the Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland, title
'Anne Arundel County', sub-title 'Fire Companies', to follow
immediately after Section 332P thereof as enacted by Chapter
338 of the Acts of 1957, and to be under the new sub-heading
'Seventh and Eighth Districts', imposing a fire tax within the
Seventh and Eighth Election Districts of Anne Arundel County
and relating generally to the imposition, collection, distribution
and expenditures of such tax, AND MAKING THIS SUBJECT
TO A REFERENDUM."
and I DO certify, that at said election 974 votes were cast in favor
of adoption of Chapter 732 of the Acts of 1959 and 334 votes were
cast against adoption of said Chapter 732 of the Acts of 1959, the said
Act has therefore been ratified by a majority of the qualified voters of
the Seventh and Eighth Election Districts of Anne Arundel County.
In Testimony Whereof, I have hereunto subscribed my
name and affixed my Official Seal at the City of
Annapolis, this 7th day of December, 1960.
