I, Thomas B. Finan, Secretary of State of the State of
Maryland, pursuant to the direction contained in Section 172 of
Article 33 of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1957 Edition),
DO hereby certify, that at the General Election held in the State of
Maryland on November 8, 1960, an Act known as Chapter 446 of the
Acts of 1959, was submitted to the voters of the Fourth District of
Anne Arundel County under the provisions of Chapter 446 of the
Acts of 1959, said Act being as follows:
"An Act to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section 28 (c)
of Article 2B of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1957
Edition), title 'Alcoholic Beverages', sub-title 'Local Licenses
and License Provisions', relating to the alcoholic content of
beverages sold by alcoholic beverage licensees in the fourth
election district of Anne Arundel County, relating generally
to alcoholic beverages therein, and providing for a referendum
thereon."
and I DO certify, that at said election 2,146 votes were cast in
favor of adoption of Chapter 446 of the Acts of 1959 and 1,569 votes
were cast against adoption of said Chapter 446 of the Acts of 1959,
the said Act has therefore been ratified by a majority of the qualified
voters of the Fourth Election District of Anne Arundel County.
In Testimony Whereof, I have hereunto subscribed my
name and affixed my Official Seal at the City of
Annapolis this 7th day of December, 1960.
