RESULTS OF REFERENDA ON OTHER ENACTMENTS OF THE
GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF MARYLAND

I, Thomas B. Finan, Secretary of State of the State of
Maryland, pursuant to the direction contained in Section 172 of
Article 33 of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1957 Edition),
DO hereby certify, that at the General Election held in the State of
Maryland on November 8, 1960, an Act known as Chapter 114 of the
Acts of 1959 was submitted to the voters of the Third Election
District of Frederick County under the provisions of Chapter 114 of
the Acts of 1959, said Act being as follows:
"An Act to add new Section 122A to Article 11 of the Code of
Public Local Laws of Maryland (1930 Edition), title 'Frederick
County', subtitle Tire Companies', to follow immediately after
Section 122 thereof, relating to a fire tax in the Third Election
District of Frederick County and providing for a referendum
thereon."
and I DO certify that at said election, 276 votes were cast in
favor of adoption of Chapter 114 of the Acts of 1959 and 304 votes
were cast against adoption of said Chapter 114 of the Acts of 1959,
the said Act has therefore failed of ratification.
In Testimony Whereof, I have hereunto subscribed my
name and affixed my Official Seal at the City of
Annapolis this 7th day of December, 1960.
