of this Resolution to the President of the United States and to the
Director of the Peace Corps.

(House Joint Resolution 52)

House Joint Resolution requesting the State Roads Commission to
designate State Route No. 276 as Jacob Tome Memorial Highway.

Whereas, The late Jacob Tome, of Port Deposit, exercised great
foresight and effort in connection with his substantial contribution
to the development of educational, religious and civic interests and
facilities in that area of Cecil County; and

Whereas, The Board of County Commissioners of Cecil County has
passed a resolution formally expressing its desire to have State Route
No. 276 designated as Jacob Tome Memorial Highway; and

Whereas, It is a fitting and appropriate tribute to this distin-
guised civic-minded citizen of Cecil County that State Route No. 276
be memorialized in his memory; now, therefore, be it

Resolved by the General Assembly of Maryland, That the State
Roads Commission designate State Route No. 276 as Jacob Tome
Memorial Highway; and be it further

Resolved, That a copy of this Resolution be sent to John B. Funk,
Chairman of the State Roads Commission.

(House Joint Resolution 53)

House Joint Resolution requesting the preparation of a Master Plan
for State Parks; requesting the removal of parking fees from
certain existing State Parks and requesting continuation of the
special Legislative Council Committee on State Parks.

Whereas, the General Assembly of Maryland during the 1960
Session recognized the lack of sufficient recreational development in
the State Park System and as a result thereof the Legislative Council
appointed a sub-committee to study such lack of development and to
report to the Council its findings; and

Explanation: Italics indicate new matter added to existing law.
