1572 Laws of Maryland [Ch. 856
Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That anew Section 51 (a) be and it is hereby added to the Code of
Public Local Laws of Charles County (1959 Edition, being Article
9 of the Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland), title "Charles
County", sub-title "County Commissioners", to follow immediately
after Section 51 thereof, and to read as follows:
51.
(a) The County Commissioners of Charles County shall furnish
either full or part-time secretarial assistance to the members of the
Charles County Delegation in the General Assembly, providing
therefor compensation of at least five hundred dollars ($500.) for
a regular session of the General Assembly in odd years and at least
one hundred and fifty dollars ($150.) for a regular session in even
years.
Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
June 1, 1961.

(House Bill 546)
AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section 44 of
the Code of Public Local Laws of Charles County (1959 Edition,
being Article 9 of the Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland),
title "Charles County", sub-title "County Commissioners", to
change the salary of the clerk to the County Commissioners of
Charles County, and to revise the language of this section.
Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Section 44 of the Code of Public Local Laws of Charles
County (1959 Edition, being Article 9 of the Code of Public Local
Laws of Maryland), title "Charles County", sub-title "County Com-
missioners", be and the same is hereby repealed and re-enacted, with
amendments, to read as follows:

[He] The clerk to the County Commissioners shall receive a salary
not exceeding Three Thousand Six Hundred Dollars ($3,600) per
annum, payable monthly or semi-monthly and shall receive no extra
or other compensation or fess FEES of any kind for the duties now
imposed upon himself by law by the provisions of this sub-title or
otherwise, which may properly appertain to his office.
Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
June 1, 1961.
