trict. However, the Commission may issue such bonds for carrying
out its corporate purposes in that portion of the District within either
county, the principal and interest to be guaranteed by and payable
as provided in this sub-title from the seven cent (7¢) tax levied by
the county benefited. The proceeds of the sale of bonds issued under
this section to be expended within or for the benefit of that portion
of the District within Montgomery County shall be expended only
upon the recommendation of the members of the Commission from
Montgomery County. In like manner, the proceeds of the sale of
bonds issued to be expended within that portion of the District within
Prince George's County shall be expended only upon the recom-
mendation of the members of the Commission from Prince George's
County.

(i) Remaining proceeds of Little Falls Branch Development
Bonds.—The Commission is authorized to utilize and expend the re-
maining funds received from the sale of bonds known as Little Falls
Branch Park Development Bonds, Series CC, issued in the aggregate
face amount of $250,000 and dated July 1, 1956, said funds to be
expended either for the improvement and development of Little Falls
Branch Park, as originally intended at the time of the issuance of
the Bonds, or, in the discretion and at the election of the Commission
for such other purposes for which it is authorized by law to issue
bonds, including among others the acquisition of lands or other
property.

Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
June 1, 1961.

CHAPTER 852
(House Bill 152)

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section 48 of
Chapter 780 of the Acts of the General Assembly of 1959, this
Act having enacted the sub-title "Park and Planning Commission",
and added said sub-title to the Montgomery County Code (1955
Edition, being Article 16 of the Code of Public Local Laws of
Maryland), and added said sub-title also to the Code of Public
Local Laws of Prince George's County (1953 Edition, being Article
17 of the Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland), and said Sec-
tion 48 being in the sub-heading "Metropolitan District", amend-
ing the laws relating to the Maryland National Capital Park and
Planning Commission in order to empower the Commission to re-
deem and refinance any of the bonds issued by it, and not to limit
such redemption or refinancing to those bonds sold by the National
Capital Planning Commission.
