CHAPTER 847
(House Bill 863)

AN ACT to add new Section 172 to Article 19 of the Code of Public
Local Laws of Maryland (1930 Edition), title "St. Mary's County",
to follow immediately after Section 171 thereof, and to be under
the new sub-title "Retirement and Pensions", said Section 172
having been repealed by Chapter 501 of the Acts of 1947, authoriz-
ing the County Commissioners of St. Mary's County to establish a
retirement and pension system, and appropriate rules and regula-
tions, for the regular employees of St. Mary's County.

Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That new Section 172 be and it is hereby added to Article 19 of the
Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland (1930 Edition), title "St.
Mary's County", to follow immediately after Section 171 thereof,
and to be under the new sub-title "Retirement and Pensions", said
Section 172 having been repealed by Chapter 501 of the Acts of 1947,
and to read as follows:

Retirement and Pensions

172.

The County Commissioners of St. Mary's County are authorized
to establish a retirement and pension system for regular employees
of St. Mary's County, and may adopt rules and regulations to govern
the effective operation of such system.

Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
June 1, 1961.

(House Bill 6)

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Sections 192 and
193 (a) of Article 43 of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1957
Edition), title "Health", sub-title "Adulteration of Food and
Drink" sub-heading "Food and Drug Law", relating to the health
standards of ice milk, and to its possession and sale, and relating
generally to frozen dairy foods, ices and mixes.

Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Sections 192 and 193(a) of Article 43 of the Annotated Code of
Maryland (1957 Edition), title "Health", sub-title "Adulteration of
Food and Drink", sub-heading "Food and Drug Law" be and they are
hereby repealed and re-enacted, with amendments, to read as follows:
