ERS", be and it is hereby repealed and re-enacted, with amendments,
to read as follows:

175 (c).

No person may shoot at, or gig, or kill, or catch any muskrat or
otter in any manner except by trapping, and no person shall dig
into or in any manner molest or destroy any part of a muskrat or
otter den or house. No person may possess at any time the hide or
skin or OF any muskrat or otter which has been caught in any way
except by trapping, and any muskrat or otter hide or skin which
has been punctured by a hole which appears to be a shot or bullet
hole shall be prima facie evidence that the muskrat or otter was
illegally killed.

No person shall possess at any time a light for the purpose of
hunting muskrats or otter at nighttime. Possession of such a light
shall be prima facie evidence that it was intended for such purpose.

A landowner or his lessee shall have the exclusive right to trap
for muskrats down to the mean low water mark on marsh land
adjacent to his land. No person shall enter upon or place traps
upon any such land without first obtaining the written consent of
the landowner or his lessee. [It shall be unlawful to hunt, pursue,
or kill any beaver at any time.] It shall be lawful for landowners
of the counties, their spouses,
PARENTS, children, the spouses or
children of children, or tenants, residing on such lands, to trap beaver
under the supervision, regulation and control of the Game and Inland
Fish Commission.

Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
June 1, 1961.

CHAPTER 821

(House Bill 398)

AN ACT to add a new chapter to the Montgomery County Code 1955
(Article 16 of the Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland), said new
chapter to be known as Chapter 110, title "Redevelopment-Urban
Renewal" and to follow immediately after Chapter 109; so as to
authorize and empower the County Council for Montgomery County
to carry out Urban Renewal Projects, involving the condemnation,
acquisition, clearance, redevelopment and rehabilitation of slum
or blighted areas; to authorize, sell AND issue general obligation
bonds, and pledge full faith and credit of Montgomery County to
retire said bonds; or to issue revenue bonds, pledged solely on the
revenue of said Urban Renewal Project; to create, appoint and vest
jurisdiction in an agency, commission, or body to carry out Urban
Renewal Projects, to apply for and accept from the United States of
America or other sources, gifts, loans, grants or aid in carrying
out said Urban Renewal Projects, to relocate families or businesses
displaced by said projects, to sell, lease, convey, or otherwise dis-
pose of property acquired for said projects to private parties for
development or redevelopment.
