subjects. It authorizes the student to perform barbering work at the
school and at no other place, for which he shall not receive remunera-
tion.

318C. Student and apprentice barbers.

A barber shop in this State may not employ at the same time more
than one apprentice Barber
THREE APPRENTICE BARBERS. ONE
APPRENTICE BARBER FOR EACH QUALIFIED BARBER EM-
PLOYED.

318D. Graduates of barber schools; apprentices.

(a)  After any person has successfully completed a course of not
less than twelve hundred (1200)
NINE HUNDRED (900) hours of
instruction at a barber school licensed and accredited under this
sub-title, the Board upon his application and without further ex-
amination or qualification shall issue to him a special graduate appren-
tice's license for the practice of barbering as in this section provided.

(b)   The fee for such a license is ten dollars ($10.00), and the
license is valid for eighteen (18) months from the date of issue.

(c)  The license permits the graduate apprentice to do barbering
work in a regularly operated barber shop, under the supervision and
direction of the operator thereof, for a period of seventy-five (75)
weeks, each with five eight-hour days.

(d)  The graduate apprentice's license applies only to the circum-
stances here listed and covers only the employment here described.

318E. Graduates of barber schools; qualified license.

(a)  After any person has completed a seventy-five week work
period with a special graduate apprentice's license, the Board upon
his application and upon his successfully passing the examination
thereof shall issue to him a qualified barber's license for the practice
of barbering as in this section provided.

(b)  The fee for such an examination is fifteen dollars ($15.00).
TEN DOLLARS ($10.00). The license permits the holder to do bar-
bering work under this sub-title, with the sole restriction that he must

hold and work under such a license for a period of at least one year

before operating or holding himself out to operate his own shop. A
period of fifty weeks, each of five eight hour days, complies with this

318F. Master's license.

After any person has completed a one-year's period holding and
working under a qualified license, regardless of how he obtained his
qualified license, the Board upon his application and without further
examination or qualification shall issue to him a master barber's
license.

The master's license entitles the holder without limitation to do
barbering work under this sub-title.

Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
June 1, 1961.
