to the Treasurer of the State all taxes collected by him, his bond
shall be liable for the same, and the County Commissioners and the
State of Maryland may cause suit to be brought for the County and
State taxes, respectively, so in arrears, on the bond given as herein-
before required.

Upon the expiration of his term of office, the said tax collector
shall turn over to the County Commissioners all records belonging to
his office and shall be excused from further liability in respect to the
collection of outstanding accounts which were assigned to him for
collection during his term of office, provided that such outstanding
accounts are in good standing and carry the same right of action at
law for collection in the hands of his immediate successor in office as
they bore when assigned to him for collection.

Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
June 1, 1961.

CHAPTER 783
(House Bill 810)

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Sections 211 (c)
and 211 (d) of Article 66C of the Annotated Code of Maryland
(1957 Edition), title "Natural Resources", sub-title "Birds, Game
and Inland Water Fish", sub-heading "Game and Fresh Water
Fish", relating to the use of nets for fishing purposes in this State.

Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Sections 211 (c) and 211 (d) of Article 66C of the Annotated
Code of Maryland (1957 Edition), title "Natural Resources", sub-title
"Birds, Game and Inland Water Fish", sub-heading "Game and Fresh
Water Fish", be and they are hereby repealed and re-enacted to read
as follows :

211.

(c)  It shall be lawful to use a dip or landing net or seine not over
six feet in length nor greater than [three] four feet in depth for
the taking of bait fish only.

(d)  It shall be unlawful for any person who is not a bona fide
resident of Maryland to fish in the nontidal waters of this State
with nets of any descriptions providing, however, that a nonresident

may use a dip or landing net or seine of lawful size for taking bait

fish to be used in Maryland waters.

Sec. 2. And be it further enacted. That this Act shall take effect
June 1, 1961.
