HALPINE ROAD TO THE EXISTING BOUNDARY OF THE
WASHINGTON SUBURBAN SANITARY DISTRICT, THENCE
IN A NORTHEASTERLY, NORTHWESTERLY, NORTHEAST-
ERLY AND NORTHERLY DIRECTION WITH THE EXISTING
BOUNDARY OF THE WASHINGTON SUBURBAN SANITARY
DISTRICT TO THE POINT OF BEGINNING.

Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That the jurisdiction of the
Washington Suburban Sanitary Commission is hereby extended to
INCLUDE THE TWO LATTER AREAS ABOVE DESCRIBED
AND SAID AREAS SHALL BE SUBJECT TO ALL THE RULES
AND REGULATIONS OF THE COMMISSION AND ALL PRO-
VISIONS OF LAW RELATING TO SAID DISTRICT, INCLUDING
TAXES AND OTHER SUMS OR CHARGES LEVIED BY SAID
COMMISSION IN OTHER PARTS OF SAID DISTRICT, AND
THE JURISDICTION OF THE WASHINGTON SUBURBAN
SANITARY COMMISSION IS HEREBY EXTENDED TO
the above-described Rural Water Area and said area shall be subject
to all rules and regulations of the Commission and all provisions of
law relating to the Washington Suburban Sanitary District which
are applicable to the water system of the Commission including taxes
and other sums or charges levied by said Commission in said Sanitary
District; provided, however, that the Commission shall not levy any
ad valorem or front foot benefit tax assessment or other charge
within the aforementioned Rural Water Area until such time as the
construction of a water system shall be actually commenced, or an
existing water system shall be extended to such area and available
to the property within such area, and when from time to time such
a system is commenced or extended, then the area or areas affected
by such commencement or extension shall be excluded from this
provision.

Sec. 3. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
June 1, 1961.

(House Bill 703)

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact Section 131 of Howard County Code
(Everstine's 1957 Edition), being Article 14 of the Code of Public
Local Laws of Maryland, title "Howard County", sub-title "Metro-
politan Commission", increasing the amount of construction which
may be accomplished by day labor from One Thousand Dollars
($1,000.00) to Three Thousand Dollars ($3,000.00).

Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Section 131 of the Howard County Code (Everstine's 1957
