CHAPTER 772
(House Bill 695)

AN ACT RELATING TO THE WASHINGTON SUBURBAN SANI-
TARY COMMISSION AND AREAS WITHIN MONTGOMERY
COUNTY IN THE WASHINGTON SUBURBAN SANITARY
DISTRICT AND THE RURAL WATER AREAS; to add an addi-
tional area in Montgomery County to the Rural Water Areas, under
the jurisdiction of the Washington Suburban Sanitary Commission,
created by Chapter 710 of the Acts of the General Assembly of 1959,
the additional Rural Water Area hereby added being in the Laytons-
ville, Damascus, Clarksburg and Gaithersburg Election Districts
of Montgomery County. , AND TO ADD TWO ADDITIONAL
AREAS IN MONTGOMERY COUNTY TO THE WASHINGTON
SUBURBAN SANITARY DISTRICT, SAID ADDITIONAL
AREAS LYING GENERALLY WITHIN THE ROCKVILLE
ELECTION DISTRICT OF MONTGOMERY COUNTY AND BE-
ING, RESPECTIVELY, EXTENSION OF THE SANITARY DIS-
TRICT IN THE SOUTHLAWN LANE-ROCKVILLE AREA AND
THE HALPINE VILLAGE AREA.

Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That the FIRST MENTIONED area herein described be and it is
hereby added to and made a part of the Rural Water Areas under the
jurisdiction of the Washington Suburban Sanitary Commission
created by Chapter 122 of the Acts of the General Assembly of 1918
the area herein described being an addition to the Rural Water Areas
created by Chapter 710 of the Acts of the General Assembly of 1959;
, AND THAT THE SECOND AND THIRD AREAS HEREIN
DESCRIBED ARE HEREBY ADDED TO THE WASHINGTON
SUBURBAN SANITARY DISTRICT UNDER THE JURISDIC-
TION OF THE WASHINGTON SUBURBAN SANITARY COM-
MISSION CREATED BY CHAPTER 122 OF THE ACTS OF THE
GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF 1918;

(1) RURAL WATER AREA. All that area in the Laytonsville,
Damascus, Clarksburg and Gaithersburg Election Districts of Mont-
gomery County, Maryland, lying within the following described
boundaries:

Beginning for the same at a point on the south right of way line
of the Potomac Electric Power Company's transmission line, said
point being 500 feet Northeast of, and at right angles to the North-
east line of the Laytonsville-Olney Road, Route 108, and approxi-
mately 14,000 feet Northwest of the existing boundary of the Wash-
ington Suburban Santiary SANITARY District at the intersection of
the Laytonsville-Olney Road, with the Bowie Mill Road and running
thence in a generally Northwesterly direction, Northeast of, parallel
to and 500 feet distant from the Northeast line of the Laytonsville-
Olney Road and the Laytonsville-Etchison Road, to the centerline of
the Etchison-Damascus Road, thence in a Northeasterly direction
