AN ACT to add a new Section to be known as Section 32A to Article
89B of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1957 Edition and 1960
Cumulative Supplement) title "State Roads", sub-title "Distribu-
tion and Use of Special Funds", to follow immediately after Sec-
tion 32 thereof, authorizing the State Roads Commission to expend
a sum not exceeding $2,000,000 $2,550,000 for the purpose of con-
structing District Office and Research Laboratory Buildings in
Anne Arundel, Baltimore and Prince George's or , PRINCE
GEORGE'S AND Montgomery Counties AND FOR THE PUR-
POSE OF COMPLETING A GARAGE AND OFFICE IN QUEEN
ANNE'S COUNTY.

Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That a new section to be known as Section 32A be and it is hereby
added to Article 89B of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1957 Edi-
tion and 1960 Cumulative Supplement) title "State Roads", sub-title
"Distribution and Use of Special Funds", to follow immediately after
Section 32 thereof, and to read as follows:

32A. The State Roads Commission is hereby authorized, notwith-
standing the provisions of Section 32 (e) of this Article, to expend
a total sum not exceeding $1,000,000 $1,250,000 during the fiscal year
1962 and a total sum not exceeding $1,000,000 $1,250,000 during the
fiscal year 1968 to pay the costs of constructing District Office and
Research Laboratory Buildings, including the costs of land therefor,
in Anne Arundel, Baltimore and Prince George's or , PRINCE
GEORGE'S AND Montgomery Counties. THE COMMISSION IS
FURTHER AUTHORIZED NOTWITHSTANDING THE PROVI-
SIONS OF SECTION 32 (E) OF THIS ARTICLE TO EXPEND
A TOTAL SUM NOT EXCEEDING $50,000 DURING THE FISCAL
YEAR 1962, TO PAY THE COST OF COMPLETING THE STATE
ROADS COMMISSION'S GARAGE AND OFFICE IN QUEEN
ANNE'S COUNTY.

Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
June 1, 1961.
