rigs other than permitted in this subheading, provided, however, it
shall be lawful to take or shoot carp with bow and arrow under
the supervision, regulation and control of the Game and Inland Fish
Commission; provided, however, that the taking or catching of
cyprinus carpio (carp) by gig under the supervision, regulation and
control of the Game and Inland Fish Commission shall be lawful
in the Potomac River, Conococheague Creek, and in Antietam Creek,
all areas being in Washington County, except during the months of
April, May and June. Provided that it shall be lawful to take or
catch carp or eels under the supervision, regulation and control of
the Game and Inland Fish Commission in the waters of Allegany
County and
in the Potomac River and the Monocacy River in Fred-
erick County. It shall be deemed prima facie evidence that same was
in possession for the purpose of violating this section. Any person
violating this section shall be deemed guilty of a misdemeanor and
upon conviction shall be fined not less than one hundred dollars
($100.00) nor more than three hundred dollars ($300.00).

Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
June 1, 1961.

CHAPTER 730
(House Bill 821)

AN ACT to add Sub-section (d) to Section 89 of Article 2B of the
Annotated Code of Maryland (1957 Edition) titled "Alcoholic
Beverages", sub-titled "Hours and Days for Sale" to follow im-
mediately after Sub-section (c) of Section 89 thereof relating to
the hours of sale on New Year's Day in Prince George's County
AND WICOMICO COUNTIES.

Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That a new sub-section be and is hereby added to Section 89 of
Article 2B of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1957 Edition), titled
"Alcoholic Beverages", sub-titled "Hours and Days for Sale", said
new sub-section to be known as Sub-section (d) to follow immediately
after Sub-section (c) of Section 89 thereof and to read as follows:

(d) Prince George's County AND WICOMICO COUNTIES.—
Nothing in this article shall be construed to require any holder of an
on-sale license in Prince George's County
AND WICOMICO COUN-
TIES to close his establishment until 2:00 a.m. on January 1st of
any year, and any holder of said license shall be permitted to make
sale of any alcoholic beverage authorized by his license until 2:00 a.m.
on January 1st of any year.
