2B of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1957 Edition), title "Al-
coholic Beverages", to follow respectively after Sections 12 and 17
9 AND 14 and to be in the respective sub-titles "Beer Licenses"
and "Beer and Light Wine Licenses", creating a new Class F H
beer license for hotels and restaurants and a new Class G H beer
and light wine license for hotels and restaurants, providing that
each shall cover "on sales" only and relating generally to the li-
cense fees and the conditions for issuing such licenses and the
applicability of this Act.

Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That new Sections 12A and 17A 9A AND 14A be and they are hereby
added to Article 2B of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1957 Edi-
tion), title "Alcoholic Beverages", to follow respectively after Sec-
tions 12 and 17 9 AND 14 and to be in the respective sub-titles "Beer
Licenses" and "Beer and Light Wine Licenses", and all to read as
follows:

12A.

9A. BEER LICENSE, CLASS H (ON SALE ONLY)—HOTELS
AND RESTAURANTS.

(a)  A Class F GENERAL PROVISIONS:—A CLASS H beer li-
cense shall be issued by the clerk of the circuit court of the county
in which the place of business is located, and shall authorize the
holder thereof to keep for sale and sell beer at retail at any hotel or
restaurant at the place therein described, for consumption on the
premises. The annual fee for such license shall be one hundred
twenty dollars ($120.00) and shall be payable to said clerk, before
any such license is issued, for distribution as hereinafter provided.

(b)   Such licenses shall be issued only in Montgomery County.

14A. BEER AND WINE LICENSE, CLASS B (ON SALE ONLY)
HOTELS AND RESTAURANTS.

(a)  A Class G GENERAL PROVISIONS:—A CLASS H beer li-
light wine license shall be issued by the clerk of the circuit court of
the county in which the place of business is located, or by the clerk
of the Court of Common Pleas of Baltimore City, if the place of busi-
ness is located in said city, and shall authorize the holder thereof to
keep for sale and sell beer and light wines at retail at any hotel or
restaurant, at the place therein described, for consumption on the
premises. The annual fee for such a license shall be one hundred
twenty dollars ($120.00), and shall be payable to said clerk, before
any such license is issued, for distribution as herein provided.

(b)   Such licenses shall be issued only in Montgomery County.

Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
June 1, 1961.
