rights of appeal from the decision of the circuit court. No lease of
the reclassified area, in whole or part, shall be granted until the
amended chart has been filed in the circuit court of the county and
until thirty-days shall have expired from date of filing. During said
thirty-day period, public notice of the filing of an amended chart
shall be given once a week for three successive weeks prior to ex-
piration of said period, in a newspaper of general circulation in the
county.
Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
June 1, 1961.

CHAPTER 680
(House Bill 61)
AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, sub-section (j)
of Section 707 of Article 66C of the Annotated Code of Maryland .
(1957 Edition), title "Natural Resources", sub-title "Oysters and
Clams" to authorize the Department of Tidewater Fisheries to ap-
point advisory committees provided for under this sub-section if
such committee appointments are not made by the licensed oyster-
men of the county within a specified time, and to authorize the
Department to fill vacancies in such committees.
Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That sub-section (j) of Section 707 of Article 66C of the Annotated
Code of Maryland (1957 Edition), title "Natural Resources", sub-
title "Oysters and Clams", be and it is hereby repealed and re-enacted
to read as follows:
707. (j) Expenditures; committee of oystermen.—The Department
of Tidewater Fisheries or its successors shall expend for the planting
of oyster shells, other cultch or seed oysters on the natural oyster
bars or seed areas or for the purchase of necessary equipment to
plant said materials and for no other purpose (1) all funds appro-
priated in the Budget for oyster propagation, and (2) all monies re-
quired by Section 716 of this sub-title to be credited by the Comp-
troller to the Oyster Fund. Any unexpended balance in the Oyster
Fund at the end of any fiscal year shall remain in the fund and be
spent for the planting of shells or seed oysters during subsequent
years and shall not be spent for any other purpose nor shall such
moneys revert to general funds. In order to assist it in the planting
of shells and seed oysters, the Department of Tidewater Fisheries
or its successors shall have the licensed oystermen select a committee
for each tidewater county of this State of five representative li-
