(3%) of its deposits] the minimum amount required by Section 42
of this article
and may reduce the addition to said guarantee fund
made through the establishment of any branch, upon the abandon-
ment of such branch.

Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
June 1, 1961.

CHAPTER 119
(Senate Bill 91)

AN ACT to add a new Section 216A to the Code of Public Local Laws
of Harford County (1957 Edition), being Article 13 of the Code
of Public Local Laws of Maryland, title "Harford County", sub-
title "County Commissioners", to follow immediately after Section
216 thereof, authorizing the Board of County Commissioners of
Harford County to appoint and provide for a Park Board, making
provision generally for the members, tenure, powers and opera-
tion of the Park Board, authorizing the County Commissioners of
Harford County to exercise certain powers relating to park and
recreation areas and relating generally to the acquisition, opera-
tion and disposal of certain park and recreation areas in Harford
County.

Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That a new Section 216A be and it is hereby added to the Code of
Public Local Laws of Harford County (1957 Edition), being Article
13 of the Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland, title "Harford
County", sub-title "County Commissioners", to follow immediately
after Section 216 thereof, and to read as follows:

216A. Park Board

(a)  The Board of County Commissioners of Harford County may
appoint and provide for a Park Board. The Board shall have three
members, and the Commission may fill vacancies on the Board from
time to time. Of the members first appointed to the Board, one shall
be appointed for a term of two years, one for a term of four years,
and one for a term of six years; thereafter appointments shall be for
terms of six years each. Members of the Board shall receive no com-
pensation, but they may be reimbursed by the County Commissioners
for necessary expenses incurred in the discharge of their duties as
members of the Board.

(b)   The County Commissioners may accept and acquire real and
personal property of all kinds suitable for the purposes and programs
of the Park Board, and may turn over such property to the use and
