CHAPTER 633
(Senate Bill 393)

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section 118 (f)
of Article 2B of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1960 Supple-
ment), title "Alcoholic Beverages", sub-title "Restrictions Upon
Licensees", relating to the possession by a minor of alcoholic
beverages in Washington County.

Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Section 118 (f) of Article 2B of the Annotated Code of Mary-
land (1960 Supplement), title "Alcoholic Beverages", sub-title "Re-
strictions Upon Licensees", be and it is hereby repealed and re-
enacted, with amendments, to read as follows:

118.

(f) In Somerset, Caroline, Dorchester, Cecil, Washington and
Queen Anne's counties, it shall be unlawful for any person under the
age of twenty-one years to possess or have upon his person any
alcoholic beverages, except a bona fide employee in the course of his
employment. Any minor having such alcoholic beverages in his pos-
session as aforesaid shall upon conviction be deemed guilty of a
misdemeanor and shall be fined not more than fifty dollars ($50.00).

The trial magistrate shall have original jurisdiction to hear any
violation of this sub-section, any law to the contrary notwithstanding.

Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
June 1, 1961.

CHAPTER 634

(Senate Bill 409)

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section 169 of
the Code of Public Local Laws of Howard County (1957 Edition,
being Article 14 of the Public Local Laws of Maryland), title
"Howard County", sub-title "Police", providing for the appoint-
ment by the County Commissioners of Howard County of a chief
of police and police officers of Howard County, designating the
duties of said police chief and providing for the establishment of
a table of organization for said police department.

Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
