SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,

That new Section 95A be and it is hereby added to Article 66C of the
Annotated Code of Maryland (1957 Edition), title "Natural Re-
sources", sub-title "Agriculture", sub-heading "Soil Conservation
Districts", to follow immediately after Section 95 thereof and to
read as follows:

95A. Any Soil Conservation District organized under the provisions
of this sub-heading, in order to carry out the powers and duties
herein vested in it, shall be empowered to borrow money on their
negotiable paper, provided that the sum so borrowed shall at no
time exceed the sum of $50, 000; and provided further that prior
approval of the State Soil Conservation Committee be obtained before
the exercise of this provision of the law by any District.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
June 1, 1962.

AN ACT to add a new sub-section to Section 5 of Article 75B of
the Annotated Code of Maryland (1957 Edition), title "Principal
and Income", said new sub-section to follow immediately after
sub-section (5) of said Section and said Article, and to be known
as sub-section (6), to provide for the treatment of distributions by
a corporation in shares of stock of another corporation pursuant
to a court decree or final administrative order enforcing the
Federal antitrust laws or otherwise ordering such distribution,
as additions to the principal of trusts, and for the treatment
thereof in connection with legal life estates and decedents'
estates, and making the same retroactive.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That a new sub-section be and the same is hereby added to Section
5 of Article 75B of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1957 Edition),
title "Principal and Income", to follow immediately after sub-section

(5) of said Section and said Article and to be known as sub-section

(6), said new sub-section to read as follows:

(6) Distributions of shares of corporations other than the dis-
tributing corporation, pursuant to a court decree or final adminis-
trative order by a governmental agency enforcing the Federal anti-
trust laws or otherwise ordering distribution of the particular
shares, shall be deemed principal. This sub-section applies (i) to
legal life estates created after June 1, 1962; (U) to the adminis-
tration of all estates of persons dying, and the administration of all
trusts established, after June 1, 1962; and (Hi) to any distribution
received after June 1, 1962, by any life estate, decedent's estate or
trust whether established on, before or after such date and whether
