No person shall catch or in any manner take or kill, sell, offer to
buy or sell or expose for sale, or have in possession any bass, large or
small mouth, less than 10 inches; any catfish less than 8 inches; any
perch, white or yellow, less than 8 inches; any pike less than 14
inches; any rock, otherwise known as striped bass, less than 12 inches
in length or weighing more than 15 pounds, it shall be lawful how-
ever, in the Susquehanna River above Hog Back Shoals and in all
waters of the State of Maryland AT ANY TIME OF THE YEAR
EXCEPT FROM MARCH 1 TO AND INCLUDING JUNE 15 to
catch striped bass weighing more than fifteen (15) pounds, provided
said striped bass so taken are caught only with a hook and line and
not sold or offered for sale and not more than one per day for each
person; any sturgeon weighing less than 25 pounds, any taylor or
bluefish less than 8 inches; any sea trout or weakfish less than 10
inches; any hardheads or croakers less than 10 inches; any butter-
fish less than 6 inches; measurement in the case of each fish shall
be from tip of the nose to the end of the caudal fin or tail.
SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
June 1, 1962.

CHAPTER 51
(Senate Bill 104)
AN ACT to repeal Sections 239 and 240 of Article 77 of the Anno-
tated Code of Maryland (1957 Edition), title "Public Education",
sub-title "Chapter 23. School Attendance", and to enact a new Sec-
tion 239 in lieu thereof, to stand in the place of the sections so re-
pealed, providing for classification of handicapped children and re-
lating generally to the duties of the local departments of health
and education regarding handicapped children.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Sections 239 and 240 of Article 77 of the Annotated Code of
Maryland (1957 Edition), title "Public Education", sub-title "Chap-
ter 23. School Attendance", be and they are hereby repealed; and that
new Section 239 be and it is hereby added in lieu thereof, to stand in
the place of the sections so repealed, to read as follows:

It shall be the duty of the local boards of education of the several
counties and Baltimore City to furnish to their respective health
departments any information they may receive as to handicapped
children living within the boundaries of their school district. The
