THE SECOND EXTRAORDINARY SESSION OF 1962
Annapolis, Md., May 25, 1962.
State of Maryland, to wit:
This being the day appointed by the Governor for a Special Session
of the General Assembly at 11: 55 o'clock A. M.
Mr. James P. Manse, Chief Clerk of the House of Delegates during
the regular session of February, 1962, called the House to order.
The reading clerk called the roll and the following members answered
to their names:

Mr. Caldwell moved, duly seconded, to elect the Hon. Homer White
as Speaker Pro Tern.
Election made unanimously.
Hon. Homer White was administered the oath of office of Speaker
Pro Tern by the Chief Clerk of the House of Delegates.
The Speaker Pro Tern announced the election for Speaker of the
House of Delegates.
Mr. Boone, duly seconded, moved to elect Hon. Perry O. Wilkinson
of Prince George's County, Speaker of the House of Delegates for the
Special Session, May 25, 1962.
Election made unanimously.
Messrs. Boone and Reed escorted the Speaker to the Rostrum.
The Speaker Pro Tern administered the oath of office to Hon. Perry
O. Wilkinson as Speaker of the House of Delegates for the Special Session
of May 25, 1962.
The Speaker then addressed the House of Delegates.
