MESSAGE FROM THE HOUSE OF DELEGATES

The Chief Clerk of the House of Delegates appeared and delivered
the following message:

Gentlemen of the Senate:

The House of Delegates refuses to concur in Senate Amendments to
House Bill No. 1, introduced by the Speaker and requests the Senate to
recede from its position.

Said bill is returned herewith.

Mr. Pine, duly seconded, moved that the Senate not recede from its
position on House Bill No. 1.
