INTRODUCTION OF RESOLUTION

Senate Resolution No. 2—By Senators Bertorelli, Mach, Buffington, Jones,
Dorf, Delia, See, Phipps, Pine, Hall, Hughes, Weant, Johnson, Parran,
Malkus, Barrick, Gonder, James, Shipley, Hepbron, Schweinhaut,
Wheatley, Dean, Dorsey, Phoebus, North, Snyder and Sanford:

Senate Resolution expressing deepest sympathies to Senator Mary
Layfield Nock over the passing of her brother William H. Layfield.

The members of the Senate of Maryland have been deeply shocked
to learn of the unfortunate passing of William H. Layfield, a brother
to Senator Mary Layfield Nock.

Senator Nock's colleagues extend their earnest prayers and sincere
good wishes to her during this unfortunate time. They have missed
her presence on the floor of the Senate during the Special Session
beginning May 25, 1962 and hope quickly again to have the wise
counsel and able services of the Senator from Wicomico County,
now, therefore, be it

Resolved by the Senate of Maryland, That the deepest regrets and
sympathies of this body be expressed over the passing of William H.
Layfield, a brother of our colleague Senator Mary Layfield Nock;
and be it further

Resolved, That the Secretary of the Senate be instructed to send
a copy of this resolution to Senator Nock.

Which was read and adopted.
