MESSAGE TO THE HOUSE OF DELEGATES
SENATE OF MARYLAND

Annapolis, Md., May 25, 1962.
By Senator Pine:
Gentlemen of the House of Delegates:

We have received your Message notifying the Senate of the organiza-
tion of your Honorable Body, and proposing a joint committee of five
members, three on the part of the House and two on the part of the
Senate, to wait upon the Governor and inform him that the General
Assembly is now prepared to receive any communications which he may
desire to make.

We concur in your proposal for the appointment of a joint committee
of five members, and we have appointed on the part of the Senate,
Senators Dean and Schweinhaut.

We also desire to inform your Honorable Body that the Senate is
organized, the Honorable George W. Delia, having been elected President,
the Honorable William S. James, President, Pro Tern, and J. Waters
Parrish, Secretary.
