of integrity and devotion to the best interests of the State of Mary-
land; and
WHEREAS, during this Special Session, the aforementioned char-
acteristics, as well as physical endurance, have been particularly dis-
played under very trying circumstances; and
WHEREAS, the members of said Committee are convinced that the
State of Maryland has been benefited immeasurably because of the
fact that Delegate Ridgely P. Melvin, Jr. has served as Chairman of
one of the most important committees; now, therefore, be it
Resolved, That the Honorable Ridgely P. Melvin, Jr. be commended
by this House of Delegates for the able manner in which he has
served as Chairman of the Judiciary Committee; and be it further
Resolved, That the Chief Clerk of the House of Delegates be in-
structed to send copies of this Resolution to the Honorable Ridgely
P. Melvin, Jr.
