A Bill entitled "An Act to add new Article 78C to the Annotated
Code of Maryland (1957 Edition), to follow immediately after Article
78B thereof and to be entitled 'Maryland Harness Racing Commission',
to establish a Maryland Harness Racing Commission to have jurisdiction
over trotting and pacing racing in the State, to authorize licensing of
harness racing tracks, and to provide for the regulation of harness racing
in this State. "

House Bill No. 1—By The Speaker:

A Bill entitled "An Act to add new Sections 11, 12, 13, 14 and 15
to Article 49B of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1957 Edition), title
'Interracial Commission, ' to follow immediately after Section 10 thereof,
and to be under the new subtitle 'Public Accommodations, ' to prohibit
discrimination on the basis of race, creed, color or national origin in
certain places of public accommodations, with exceptions, which provide
sleeping accommodations or serve meals for a consideration, placing
the administration and enforcement of this subtitle initially in the
Commission on Interracial Problems and Relations, establishing pro-
cedures for complaints, investigations and hearings under this sub-title,
providing for the powers of the courts and states attorneys in the en-
