each of the two Houses of the General Assembly, the same shall
take effect from the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 8
(Senate Bill 10)
AN ACT to add a new Section 211 (i) to Article 89B of the Anno-
tated Code of Maryland (1957 edition), title "State Roads", sub-
title "Refunding Bonds for Issues under Sections 106 to. 118 of
This Article", sub-heading "State Highway Construction Bonds,
Second Issue", to follow immediately after Section 211 (h) thereof,
providing that the State Roads Commission under the provisions
of said Section 211, shall not issue in any fiscal year on behalf of
Dorchester County, bonds in excess of the face amount of one
hundred and fifty thousand dollars ($150, 000).
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That a new Section 211 (i) be and it is hereby added to Article 89B
of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1957 edition), title "State
Roads", sub-title "Refunding Bonds for Issues under Sections 106 to
118 of this Article", sub-heading "State Highway Construction Bonds,
Second Issue", to follow immediately after Section 211 (h) thereof,
to read as follows:
211 (i). And be it further provided that notwithstanding any of
the provisions of this section to the contrary, the maximum amount
of the bonds authorized by this section which the Commission may
issue in any fiscal year on behalf of Dorchester County shall not be
in excess of the face amount of one hundred fifty thousand dollars
($150, 000).
SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act is hereby declared
to be an emergency measure and necessary for the immediate pres-
ervation of the public health and safety, and having been passed
by a yea and nay vote supported by three-fifths of the members
elected to each of the two houses of the General Assembly, the same
shall take effect from the date of its passage.
