1792.

III. Be it enacted, That the bonds taken for the property aforefaid fhall not
be affigned or transferred to any perfon or perfons by the truftee herein before ap-
pointed, but they may be renewed, and fhall be kept for the ufe and benefit of
the faid minors, and fuch part of the money due on faid bonds, as fhall be judged
by the orphans court to be neceffary for the maintenance and education of the
faid minors, fhall be appropriated to that purpofe by the faid truftee.

CHAP.
XXIII.

Bonds not to
be affigned,

&c.

IV. Provided always, That the faid Jacob Green, truftee herein nominated,
fhall, before he makes fale of the perfonal property aforefaid, enter into bond,
payable to the faid Philip and Jacob, the minors, in fuch penalty, and with fuch
fecurity, as the juftices of the orphans court of Prince-George's county fhall direct,
well and faithfully to account annually, before the orphans court aforefaid, for the
neat proceeds of the faid fales, and in all other fefpects to conform himfelf to the
directions contained in an act of affembly paffed at November feffion, one thoufand
feven hundred and eighty-five, entitled, An act to alter and amend the law in

certain cafes; the faid bond, when taken, fhall be recorded among the records of
the orphans court of faid county, and the original kept fafely among the original
papers of faid court.

C H A P. XXIV.

Proviso.

An ACT to alter and change the name of Francis Hall, junior,
of Queen-Anne's county.
WHEREAS Francis Hall, junior, of Queen-Anne's county, has peti-
tioned this general aflembly, that an act may pafs to change his
name to Francis Hall Rozer; and it appearing reafonable that the
prayer of his petition fhould be granted, therefore,

Preamble.

II. Be it enacted, by the General Affembly of Maryland, That it fhall and
may be lawful for the faid Francis Hall, junior, to take upon himfelf the name
and furname of Francis Hall Rozer, in the ftead of his prefent name and fur-
name, and alfo for the defendants of the faid Francis Hall to take upon them-
felves the furname of Rozer, and alfo ufe and bear the coat of arms and armorial
bearings of the family of Rozer; and the name of the faid Francis Hall fhall
be and is hereby changed and altered into the name of Francis Hall Rozer, and
the faid Francis Hall, and the heirs of his body, fhall, at all times hereafter, be
called by, and hold and ufe, the furname Rozer only.

III. And be it enacted, That all fecurities, promifes, contracts, affurances,
deeds, and lawful acts whatfoever, heretofore made, or hereafter to be made, by
or to the faid Francis. Hall, junior, by the name and furname of Francis Hall
Rozer, fhall be of the fame force and effect, and equally avail, to all intents
and purpofes, as if the name and furname of Francis Hall Rozer had been the
true and proper name and furname of the faid Francis Hall, junior, from his
birth, any law, ftatute or cuftom, to the contrary notwithftanding.

CHAP. XXV.

Securities,
&c. to be of
effect, &c.

An ACT to extend the time for the late fheriff and collector of

Queen-Anne's county to complete his collections.
WHEREAS Jonathan Seney, late fheriff and collector of Queen-Anne's
county, hath fet forth, by his petition to this general aflembly, that
there is ftill due to him a confiderable fum of money, moft of which
is levied and appropriated to the building of a new court-houfe and gaol in faid
county, and prays that a longer time may be allowed him to complete the col-
lection of the fame,

II. Be it enacted, by the General A/embly of Maryland, That the faid Jona-
than Seney be and he is hereby empowered, at any time before the firft day of
Auguft next, to collect all balances due to him as fheriff and collector, in the
fame manner as he could or might have done whilft he was sheriff and collector,
any law to the contrary notwithftanding.
