the intereft of faid parifh, and to lay out the money arifing from fuch fale in the
purchafe of other lands for the ufe of the faid parifh, more conveniently fituated
as a glebe, for the fupport of a minifter of the faid parifh.

V. And be it enacted, That the veftry of faid parifh for the time being fhall,
in, the interim between the fale of the prefent glebe and purchafe of another, put
the money arifing on fuch fale at intereft, taking bond, with good and fufficient
fecurity, for the return of the money, and annual payment of the intereft, and
the intereft accruing fhall be applied to the fupport of a minifter of the faid
parifh.

ground in Upper-Marlborough, in Prince-George's county, on
which the infpecting-houfe ftands, and for paying the proprie-
tor, the value thereof.

Preamble.
|
WHEREAS the general affembly of Maryland, at November feffion,
feventeen hundred and ninety-one, paffed an act directing the juftices
of the peace for Prince-George's county, at their next meeting for
the purpofes of appointing infpectors which fhould enfue the paffage of faid act,
to appoint three perfons to value a certain lot of ground in the town of Upper-
Marlborough, in Prince-George's county, whereon the public warehoufe for the
infpection of tobacco is erected, and which faid lot of ground is the property of
Thomas Con tee, of faid county, and, on the return of faid valuation, to levy
the amount thereof on the county, for the purpofe of purchafing the faid lot of
ground from the faid Thomas Contee, for the ufe of the faid county; And
whereas the faid juftices permitted the time limitted by the faid ait to elapfe,
without complying with the directions thereof,

II. Be it enacted, by the General Affembly of Maryland, That the faid juftices
be and they are hereby authorifed and empowered to difcharge the duties impofed
by the faid act, on or before the firft day of December, feventeen hundred and
ninety-three, any thing in faid act to the contrary notwithftanding.

An ACT to repeal an act, entitled, An act to prevent and fup-
prefs infurrections.
BE it enacted, by the General Affembly of Maryland, That an act, paffed at
a feffion of affembly begun and held at the city of Annapolis on Tuefday
the feventeenth day of March, feventeen hundred and feventy-eight, en-
titled, An act to prevent and fupprefs infurrections, fhall be and the fame is here-
by repealed, and declared to be void and of none effect,

Preamble.

An ACT to confirm the proceedings of Kent county levy court.
WHEREAS it is reprefented to this general aflembly, that the juftices
of Kent county did not meet at the time appointed by law for the
purpofe of laying the levy of faid county, but having met at a fub-
fequent day, and laid the faid levy, the fheriff proceeded to the collection; and
the juftices of faid county have petitioned this general aflembly, that an act may
pafs confirming their proceedings; therefore,

II. Be it enacted, by the General Affembly of Maryland, That all collections
already made, or which fliall hereafter be made, by the fheriff of faid county, or
any of his deputies properly authorifed, in confequence of the proceedings of the
faid juftices, fhall be, and they are hereby declared to be, as good and valid in
law as if the faid juftices had met and laid the levy on the day directed and ap-
pointed for that purpofe.
