Edition, being Article 2 of the Code of Public Local Laws of

Maryland), title "Anne Arundel County", sub title "Zoning", as
amended by Chapter 426 of the Acts of 1949; and to add new sub-

section 613(d) to said section, to follow immediately after sub-

section 613(c) thereof, 22(B) OF ARTICLE 66B OF THE AN-
NOTATED CODE OF MARYLAND (1957 EDITION), TITLE
"ZONING AND PLANNING", SUB-TITLE "TITLE 2—ZON-
ING", increasing the number of members and defining powers of
the Board of Zoning Appeals for Anne Arundel County and matters
generally relating thereto.

Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,

That Section 613(a) of the Code of Public Local Laws of Anne

Arundel County (1917 Edition, being Article 2 of the Code of Public
Local Laws of Maryland), title "Anne Arundel County", sub title
"Zoning" as amended by Chapter 426 of the Acts of
1949, be and
it is hereby repealed and re-enacted, with amendments; and that
new sub-section (d) be and it is hereby added to said section, to
follow immediately after sub section (c) thereof, both to read as
follows:

THAT SECTION 22 (B) OF THE ANNOTATED CODE OF MARY-
LAND (1957 EDITION), TITLE "PLANNING AND ZONING",
SUB-TITLE "TITLE 2—ZONING", BE AND IT IS HEREBY RE-
PEALED AND RE-ENACTED, WITH AMENDMENTS, TO READ
AS FOLLOWS:

(d) The Board of Zoning Appeals shall be considered as the final

authority in matters of conflict with other license boards in matters

relating to construction, zoning, measured distances, locations and
other matters generally related thereto.

22.

(B). THE BOARD OF APPEALS SHALL CONSIST OF THREE
MEMBERS. THE TERM OF OFFICE OF THE MEMBERS OF
THE BOARD SHALL BE THREE YEARS. THEY SHALL BE
APPOINTED BY THE MAYOR, CONFIRMED BY THE COUN-
CIL, AND REMOVABLE FOR CAUSE, UPON WRITTEN
CHARGES, AND AFTER PUBLIC HEARING. VACANCIES

613.

(a) The County Commissioners shall provide for a Board of

Zoning Appeals consisting of [three] five members. The members of
the Board of Zoning Appeals shall be residents and taxpayers of
Anne Arundel County, and shall be appointed by the Governor from

a list of three names to be submitted to him by the County Com-

missioners of Anne Arundel County for each member. [The initial
Board of Zoning Appeals shall consist of R.

serve for a term of two years, Marvin L. Anderson to serve for a

term of four years, and Charles M. Lake to serve for a term of six

years, all from June 1, 1949. Their successors] They shall be ap-

pointed for terms of six years each and may be removed for cause

by the Governor after written charges are filed and a public hear-

ing thereon is held. The Attorney to the County Commissioners
