dissolution. In case of approval, the same notices shall be given as
for the hearing on the petition. After payment of all bills, any bal-
ance in the county treasury to the credit of the dissolved association
shall be distributed to the landowners in proportion to their original
assessments.

218. In the event that any court of competent jurisdiction shall
declare any section or part of a section of this sub-title to be invalid,
the remainder of the sub-title shall not be invalidated thereby, but
shall remain in full force and effect.

Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
on June 1, 1959.

CHAPTER 589
(Senate Bill 390)

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Sections 148 (g)
and 151 and to add new Section 158(1) to Article 2B of the
Annotated Code of Maryland (1957 Edition), title "Alcoholic
Beverages", sub-title "Boards of License Commissioners", said
new section to follow immediately after Section 158 (k) thereof
relating to the establishment, membership and duties of the
Board of License Commissioners of Worcester County and relat-
ing generally to alcoholic beverages in Worcester County.

Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Sections 148 (g) and 151 of Article 2B of the Annotated Code
of Maryland (1957 Edition), title "Alcoholic Beverages", subtitle
"Boards of License Commissioners", be and they are hereby re-
pealed and re-enacted, with amendments, to read as follows:

148.

(g). Applicability.—This section shall be applicable in Baltimore
City, and (except as otherwise provided) in Allegany, Anne Arun-
del, Calvert, Prince George's, Talbot, Washington, and Wicomico
[and Worcester] counties.

151.

The respective boards of county commissioners shall ex officio
constitute the boards of License Commissioners in Caroline, Carroll,
Cecil, Dorchester, Garrett, Howard, [and] Kent and Worcester
counties.

SECTION 1A. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, THAT SEC-
TION 158 (L) BE AND THE SAME IS HEREBY ADDED TO
