said new section to follow immediately after Section 32 thereof, and
to read as follows:
32A. In addition to the four Judges for the Fifth Judicial Circuit
for which provision now is made, there shall be an additional Judge
who shall be a resident of Anne Arundel County. This Judge shall
be selected in the manner provided by Section 5 of Article 4 of the
Constitution of Maryland and shall be subject to all the provisions
of the Constitution and laws relating to the Fifth Judicial Circuit
and the several Judges thereof.
Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
June 1, 1959.

AN ACT to repeal Section 35 of Article 101 of the Annotated Code
of Maryland (1957 Edition), title "Workmen's Compensation",
sub-title "Application of Article; Extra-Hazardous Employments",
and to enact a new Section 35 to stand in the place and stead of
the section so repealed, providing for workmen's compensation
benefits for prisoners who sustain permanent injury and provid-
ing for the allocation of the money received for said injury and
relating generally to workmen's compensation in this State. PRO-
VIDING FOR WORKMEN'S COMPENSATION BENEFITS
FOR PRISONERS WHO SUSTAINED A PERMANENT PAR-
TIAL OR PERMANENT TOTAL INJURY, AND PROVIDING
FOR THE METHOD OF ADJUDICATION AND RATING OF
SUCH PERMANENT PARTIAL AND PERMANENT TOTAL
DISABILITY, AND RELATING GENERALLY TO WORK-
MEN'S COMPENSATION IN THIS STATE.
Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Section 35 of Article 101 of the Annotated Code of Maryland
(1957 Edition), title "Workmen's Compensation", sub-title "Appli-
cation of Article; Extra-Hazardous Employments", be and it is
hereby repealed, and that a new Section 35 be and it is hereby en-
acted to stand in the place and stead of the section so repealed, and
to read as follows:
35. Whenever any prisoner in the Maryland Penitentiary or the
Maryland Home of Correction or any other institution under the
supervision of the Board of Correction shall be engaged in any extra
hazardous employment within the meaning of this article for which
wages or a stipulated sum are paid either to the institution or to the
prisoner, this article shall be applicable thereto only if said prisoner
