asking for bids, whenever they deem the same advisable or expedient.
Provided, however, that said County Commissioners shall not expend
more than [$25,000.00] $100,000.00 for road machinery and equip-
ment in any one year.

Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
June 1, 1959.

CHAPTER 63
(House Bill 102)

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section 67 of the
Code of Public Local Laws of Garrett County (1957 Edition, being
Article 12 of the Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland), title
"Garrett County", sub-title "County Commissioners", relating to
compensation for County Commissioners of Garrett County.

Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Section 67 of the Code of Public Local Laws of Garrett County
(1957 Edition, being Article 12 of the Code of Public Local Laws of
Maryland), title "Garrett County", sub-title "County Commis-
sioners", be and it is hereby repealed and re-enacted, with amend-
ments, to read as follows:

67. The County Commissioners of Garrett County shall receive
for their services as such Commissioners, an annual salary of Two
Thousand Two Hundred Dollars ($2,200.00) each, payable in monthly
installments [.] , plus an annual expense allowance up to Six Hun-
dred Dollars ($600.00).

Any member of the Board of County Commissioners violating any
of the provisions of this section shall be guilty of a misdemeanor
and, upon conviction thereof, shall be punished by a forfeiture of
office.

Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
June 1, 1959.
